jerry campbell | 21-Jan-08 20:28 | Yes the push/pull concept had been a pet project of Claude Dornier for some years, he had taken out a patent in 1937. Speed was 417 mph at 26,000 feet and nothing in the Allied inventory could catch it. It was heavily armed wth two fuselage mounted 20mm cannon and an engine mounted 30mm cannon. Two 15mm cannon could be mounted on the wings. Fortunated for Allied Bomber crews Hitler's stupidiy of demanding it be redesigned as a bomber prevented it from going into production. |
