SteveM | 01-Jan-09 16:48 | I took advantage of a period of lighter rain (and stronger wind) to break out the Aero-Star. I took two laps about the field then landed and made haste to thaw out at the nearest heater. Two laps may not sound like much, but in this weather that is a lot. |
poppy | 01-Jan-09 18:10 | Looks good getting a free wash! |
John M Oshust | 01-Jan-09 19:29 | What wonderful aircraft benches. I am thinking of copying the basic design for a shooting bench, for my rifle range, at the ranch. |
SteveM | 01-Jan-09 20:34 | The facilities are pretty nice thanks to the members who have come before me and made it what it is. These benches were build by a retiree who volunteered his time and the club reimbursed his materials cost. Sadly, since the land is owned by the county we could be given the boot some day.
I felt like a glow fuel pilot as I wiped off the plane, but I used the opportunity to clean it well enough to finally apply the decals. The cowl blocks are still not on yet as I might change the motor so I can use a smaller diameter prop. I'll have to get a picture of it with decals the next time I am out at the field. |
