Wow. Still waiting on wheels for the Super Sabre?

It's the 1950s-60s "Arsinio of Democracy" (apologies to Saturday Night Live/Jerry Seinfeld). They look really nice DD. Are they all the same scale?

Thanks, yes they all are 1/24 scale. I never saw an F-86D fly, although I did see some F-86s which were flown by the Spanish when I was stationed in Spain, 1960-1963. I did see lots of F-100s and F-105s which were regular visitors to the base and a few short years later I was in Viet Nam where our radar was used to guide and direct them both, as well as F-4s, on bomb runs at night and when the weather was bad. I'll get back on those wheels in a bit...

4 F-86D's from Perrin AFB, Sherman, TX performed an aerial routine in 1953 at an airshow in Sulphur Springs, TX, my home town. I remember the final act was a solo high speed pass at less than 100' and on completion the pilot performed barrel rolls until almost out of sight. Extremely noisey for the time but thrilling for an 11 yr. old. The announcer said he would be landing a Perrin in less than 4 min., about 150 mi. away. That was my first experience with jet aviation and I remember as if it were yesterday.
