| Pfinn has one, as well, and as soon as he shows me how it's made I'll think about starting it. Actually, I'm sure I can build it but there's a lot here...A LOT! The three large sheets of plans show all the details for adding the gadgets, motors, servos, batteries, linkages etc, etc, etc for those with an inclination to make it fly. |

| I'm not sure when I'll finish the THUD and I absolutely hate working under any kind of deadline so I don't know when I'll start. I got this and the Beaver from e-hobbyland.com and while I normally buy from Penn Valley, they didn't have the Beaver. The Beaver was $27.99 and the Rapide was $49.99 and that's the lowest I've seen, plus, because the order was over $75, shipping was free. Shipping from Tower is an automatic $9.95 but at least they do have things like filler. |

| I might have to join James in making a flyer. It's been too long since a built a plane so this could give me the motivation to do a little work each night so I don't fall behind. I don't think we should build under a deadline, but it would be fun start together when DD is ready. |

| Penn Valley Hobby Center has it for $62.74 and they will ship overseas but I don't know the cost. They won't be open for a few hours but when they do I'll call them and find out how much it will be and I'll post it later today. I can also order another one and ship this one to you, surely it won't cost $65 to do so. As is, the box weighs 1.15 pounds and is heavy duty cardboard so it wouldn't need any additional packing for shipping. |

| Ordered mine last night from e-hobbyland.com thanks to the tip from DD. While I'm waiting for it to arrive I guess I'll read Pat's thread and start planning out the electronics. Brushless inrunners will probably be the way that I go. |

| Thanks for the offer David but it'll cost me £40 or about $65 import duty as well as the postage which is usually 30-40 dollars. That'll be $127 dollars then the postage and at this present time I don't have the money. Thanks anyway |

| I would like to change my entry from static to mobile. That is if one of you would voulanteer to let me follow your coatails and tell me what and when to purchase the jimmies and jammies required to make this bird move. I am willing to make the investment. I do not want to fly it, just have control surfaces move at my command and have it ROG around a bit. |

| They open all packages now and inspect. I still have to pay import duty. My last plane cost more in transport than it did for the kits! Thanks for the thought anyway david it was very kind of you. I have plenty of kits to build. I am building myself up for my Mk1 Spit which will be a flyer with retracts. All 41" wingspan which is big for me!!! |

John O. - I'm sure James and I can both help you out. Since you're not planning to fly regularly then you'll be happy to hear that the designer of this plane used a very inexpensive propulsion system. Do you have a 4 channel radio that you can use or do you need to buy everything from radio to battery charger? |

| My version will be a "Billy Parker Super Plane" coming in at about 85 inches wingspan. I have the plan blown but not printed. Will do that tomorrow... Have to finish a hand full of little stuff, and that infernal Fulmar, and I'll be cutting wood again... |

| John O. - I'll know more when I get the kit. Hopefully the directions suggest a motor, prop, servos, and battery to use. If not, Pat's build/design thread over at RCGroups talks about those components. I'll email you when I know more, but maybe James can offer some help now since he has the kit. |
