Finished modeling and 3D printing the Daimler-Mercedes D.IVa engine this week end. Had a couple of failed prints, and the print job with the cylinders took about 7 hours to run, but I did get it done. Note that the engine will be about 2.25” fully built. I also modeled in a spinning prop shaft, so if all goes well, I can put on a prop that will turn relatively easily. We shall see. (I think it’s time I find a new parts cutting board to photograph my part on! This one has seen better days!)

Don, I can get down to 50 microns, but it takes some doing. A lot depends on how the part is positioned as it prints. I'm learning more and more each time. I have a really inexpensive (relatively) printer, so there are limitations, but it definitely does what I need it to!
