It has been shortened one and a half inches from the plan. |

As I said at the start, it's a D version. |

For Crob: may I suggest you check out my build of this plane? The kit needs an inch and a half removed from the rear portion, canopy to fin, to be in scale. Likewise, I have heard of one builder who lengthened the nose of a Spitfire for scale. |

The infills look great. I just don't think I have the patience to achieve the finishes that set your models apart. |

Thanks! I envy your talents. |

Hi David, thanks for this! After getting into panel line and decal placement on the p51 - sames issue. It would be about 2' longer full scale.. Which area did you shorten? Or, did you squeeze all the formers and draw all new lines? |

Nice Dave. It does look a lot better to scale. I kept thinking mine looked a little long as I was building. Guillows does give you the option to shorten the wing span. |

As mentioned…. |

Try this comparison. http://virtualaerodrome.com/image_detail.html?p_aircraft_id=42&p_image_id=11702&offset=240
In the book "Flying Colors" there is a drawing of a "Dora" that did have the extractor exhausts as supplied in the Guillow's kit. |
