moostang51 | 29-Aug-07 17:23 | If this one comes anywhere near the FW 190 you built.
Cheers to you Chris. The green tissue is looking terrific. The
RAF would be proud. |
jgood | 29-Aug-07 19:52 | Wow. Just amazing! Got a nice little cushion ready for the headrest? |
cdwheatley | 30-Aug-07 02:43 | I'm working on that James! That, and the instrument panel are next, then the cockpit will be finished and I can start covering the rest of it. The green (Japanese) tissue I got from SAMS models, it's darker than the usual Japanese tissue and just right for this model. |
cdwheatley | 30-Aug-07 15:17 | Hey, moostang51, I presume by the 'RAF' you mean the Royal Aircraft Factory - the makers of the SE5a? Because, as we all know, the Royal Air Force didn't actually exist until just before the end of the war, superceding the existing Royal Flying Corps. |
moostang51 | 30-Aug-07 17:11 | Absolutely Chris, The factory at Farnborough was the sight for the Royal Air Factory. I was a big WWI buff in my late teens
and the implementation of flying machines versus zeppelins got me hooked. I believe it was from fear of the US draft during Viet Nam. |
