Check out D Duckett's prop making in the "How To"s".

This kit has plastic props. Cut them out, glue together, some filler perhaps, sand smooth and paint.

on the props thing...I'm worried about getting the plates into the spinners and the holes lined up in order to get the props in place in line and at the right angles. I'm still trying to figure out how to get them installed into the front of the plastic cowling so they will spin.

John Oshust has a shaft made of brass tubes that allows them to spin. If he doesn't post a picture, I'll try to find one. You might try to make the a thicker plate, so you can drill holes in it for the blades after you attach the spinner. Take a look at my P-40, but ignore the huge screw I used.

Don, I like the idea of a thick plate .then the holes in the spinner will determine the location in the plate and the props could be inserted after all The work is done on the front of the fulages I,m a little too clumsy to work around projections that might break off. ,,,!!!

I understand perfectly. Props are about the last thing to get attached.
