A great artist/model builder once told me " Painting is the hardest" (DDuckett 2007). Three hours to mask, paint and locate proper font of "C" online. Only a sample though. Lots of work ahead if I choose to do it. |

If you choose to leave the rest of it gray, it's still HOT! |

I'm considering a darker grey, as flat aluminum can be quite a pain when applied by paint stroke vs. airbrush. David, you had a silver grey on the B-29, was it an available color or mix of Liquitex colors. Masking a wing tonight. |

Might I suggest an experiment. If you can obtain powdered AL dust, try mixing some into the Al paint, me thinks it will make a difference! |

Okay. Where might one get his paws on aluminum dust? No rush, as all the markings will go on first anyway. Still have more glass to install on the fuselage but that is on hold right now as must finish details in the turrets. |

I was a Chem teacher in my former life. See a friend, chem. supply house, ask a teacher. It is highly explosive if treated right, but that's another story! |

Take a look at Rust-o-leum product called Painter's Touch. They have a gray primer, same used on my Hellcat, that is also sandable. Spray can, covers well. It might suit your color need. Got mine at Home Depot. |
