John M Oshust | 27-Mar-15 17:08 | One can only imagine what influence this sail like scoop. had on the maneuverability of this aero-plane! |
meku | 28-Mar-15 02:12 | Everything worked out in detail. Laborious great job. Super !!! |
John M Oshust | 28-Mar-15 06:26 | Thank you but I still need an airscrew. I await a supply of wood. |
JohnG. | 28-Mar-15 16:01 | That scoop is really something else. How about an airscrew from cherry??? :-) |
John M Oshust | 28-Mar-15 16:29 | The wood blank is in transit. It is BTW cherry. A blank 1.5 in x 1.5 x 36 inches. Intended for life as a pool cue stick. Somehow I think it shall be happy as a four bladed air screw:)) |
rayl | 28-Mar-15 17:05 | John, next time save your money. Let know what type of wood & what size and I'll send it to you. I have many, many scraps of wood, exotic and otherwise that need to be put to good use. |
John M Oshust | 28-Mar-15 17:16 | rayl, Thanks for you kind offer. I have a bundle of hardwood blanks in my workshop, at the cabin, in PA. My table saw lives there. This past deer season I brought the wood to the ranch with the intention of slicing and dicing. Due to the fog of deer camp, the slicing and wrapping of a buck, and my friend Johhnie Walker, the wood task slipped by the wayside. I do not intend to travel there until the end of April, hence the need for the cue stick blank:-)) |
