In the center of this image are cardstock parts, J19, and J20 (2 of each required...)
As I'm blowing this plan up 300% and as I don't have the cardstock to look at, can anyone tell me what these parts look like?
Are they simply "fins" that will stick down below the wing? Thanx, in advance... |

I don't remember and the plane is now in North Dakota. I think SteveM has this kit, perhaps he can show us what they look like. |

Hi Bill,
I just received my P-39 from Diels Engineering. I will take a look and see if there is anything on my plans that may help.

Bill, I have this kit in storage (P-39 is my fave WWII fighter) and the pieces 2@J19 and one J20 are some sort of exhaust port (engine cooling) other than the main exhaust pipes out of the side of the fuse. You only see it in 2D in the instruction plan. If you'd like I can photocopy the full "J" card stock and mail it out to you so you may do as you wish. PM me and I'll get it out asap. |

Couldn't figure out how to PM on this forum, but here's my E-Mail: bparker@parkerinfo.com ... Thanx, Mr. Moose! |

I dug through the Guillow's kit and my books and have some pictures that I'll post in a moment. Since you only have the plans you may find these PDFs of some help, especially the cardstock one. If you can wait till tomorrow evening I'll reference my TopFlite P-39 kit to see if it has anything to add. |

Thank you Steve. I'm dangerous now! And Thanx Moosestang! I've got more info now than I can handle! |

I just checked the Top Flite kit, it is too stand-off scale to include such details. Glad you found the cardstock scans useful. |
