John M Oshust | 23-Feb-08 22:12 | I constructed the left wing today. It must be sanded and shaped. Then both wings will be amputated to wing roots for mounting. |
sweetwillie | 23-Feb-08 22:26 | John, you still haven't told us how you made the cowl! |
John M Oshust | 23-Feb-08 22:34 | 1/8 ply wood circle cut on a jig saw, then I laminated 6 or 8 layers of balsa scrape on the top. After the glue dried, I filed and sanded it into shape. The best is the lavender scent of the filler...reminds me of Paris! |
sweetwillie | 23-Feb-08 22:46 | What a behemouth! |
sweetwillie | 23-Feb-08 22:48 | I think I'll keep looking for plastic or use my MicroLite. |
John M Oshust | 23-Feb-08 23:01 | Yes large she will be, as large as the Guillows B-24 in span. Just an exercise in large planes down the road! |
