An epiphanny...I will use the Guillows plastic nose as a form to plank it with Al sheeting....then jewel the sheeting. |

Are you planning to cover the rest of the fuselage with basswood too? |

DD.. Not definite but probably |

DD...Thanks for the wonderful photos of your Spirit build. They are a valuable add to my build, in some cases better than the Guillows instructions. |

You're welcome and Thank You. This is not an easy kit but it certainly looks as if you have it well under control. I'll be glad to send some pics of mine if you get in a bind but they cost a Gazillion Dollars each and somehow I think you would ignore them anyway so onward through the fog. Calm seas and prosperous voyages. And light on the Mayo. |

DD, learned one, remember this is my third build...and I love Mayo...but it must be Helmans! |

I knew the Al was coming for the nose. It will make it into a real treasure. A word about Guillows balsa. I've had the SBD3 kit for over 20 yrs. and the balsa is grade 1. The parts fell out with a slight push. New kits, balsa grade z at best and have to razor cut all the parts. |
