poppy | 05-Nov-07 05:45 | Nice job,DD. The molded plastic top/canopy makes it easier, less sanding. The wingspan on this one will make the 190 will make a dramatic model. I look forward to progress. I used the same tecnique on my FW, slab sides and block top and bottom sanded to shape. |

I'll seal the pores with silkspan (yuk, yuk) but I will also seal the entire area in front of the plastic piece, all the way around, with a liberal dose of micro-fill rubbed in with my fingers. It almost does the work by itself and just one application, when sanded down, seals the balsa quite well., nearly well enough to start painting on it. But, no....not quite. |
