David Duckett | 14-Feb-08 22:46 | I glued a 3/32" balsa disc inside the back of the metal cowling and then glued that to the nacelle. The cowlings are a bit larger than the nacelles and they aren't going to give so I'll be doing some more sanding on the nacelles. The cowlings have a "ridge" in them, as you can see, but I've already added some filler where they attach to the nacelles and I really don't want to take it any further. The wheels were a total surprise! They are just slightly larger than 1-1/8" which is just fine cause many of the wheels in kits are about one inch and notoriously hard to find in anything close to scale. These are not "scale" to this plane but they give the impression of being aircraft wheels and they are easily obtained. And they even have tread, Moostang!! |
