pfinn | 03-Oct-09 18:29 | Hey DD and all. For a localized sharper bend like this, try brushing on some "Windex" window cleaner to where the bend will be and wait 5-10 minutes. I'll glue in the first position, then apply. By brushing you can avoid the glueing areas and make the balsa "Bendy" only where you want it "Bendy" i.e. nice and springy for the long fuselage swoopees. It's the amonia in the Windex that relaxes the grain. You can also use the method to pre-bend areas if you prefer. |
