Remember Schnazola the crop duster? It was in the shop for a pre transport dusting and inspection. It has been about 6 months since its completion. I noticed that the balsa must have dried and the entire plane has shunk a bit. The music wire rigging was bowed and the polyspan had sagged. I cut small sections from the wires and installed Al tubing ferrules, crimped on one end. The rigging is straight again and the ferrule should allow for linear change with temp.

Unreal problem, John. Glad you were able to resolve it. You were able to remove the polyspan sags??? Thinking your basement is not an ideal storage space for the models.

Not basement, it was hanging in my den. The heating season and winter....low hunidity. All surfaces are tight and the wood must be dry. Look at the other photo, I think you can see how tight the wings are again, like the day they were covered.
