I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

I fit it to my hand grip.

Both are works of art. How long are your flying wires? I another lifetime I couldn't handle .049 as I got dizzy. Switched to .35 with 70 - 90 foot wires and it went very well.

Thanks Don C. I made some 38' with .010 braided steel wire. I was fortunate to work closely with a Ukranian gentleman who competed CL (and still competes) globally at AV. He gave me advice and encouragement via emails while I finished this model i.e. balance point (for beginners !), line setup and building (eyelets, wire wrap per AMA rules), control surface throws, tank setup and modifications (my engine needs positive fuel pressure to run... Norvell),hand grip geometry, etc. etc. But after watching several videos on 1/2A (.049) models and timing the rpms of the pilot and then spinning around like a "Whirling Dervish" for three minutes (which would be half of a tank!) at that rpm, I decided that....uhhhh....No. HaHa. I purchased an original "Clown" racer on ebay 6-7 years ago predominantly for the Ohlsson Rice engine that was still on it. The silk covering had all over-tightened and snapped/ripped over the years. In the photo it looked terrible, hence the $24 price. I was surprised when it arrived. The engine runs, I restored the "Clown", switched the engine and was thinking of flying that first. 55' lines.
