sweetwillie | 09-Jan-08 00:35 | This is actually, a Golden Age F4B, the whole plane is too light and flimsy for my old fingers,I used up my allotment of 1/16 stringers on the fuselage because they kept breaking in my hands. I got some more balsa from Short's Basement and decided to beef |

sweetwillie | 09-Jan-08 01:10 | Thank's Steve, I wondered what was happening. I'll remember it. |
John M Oshust | 09-Jan-08 09:54 | Blasa breaking old fingers...been there Since my first model the Sopwith Camel, I have used basswood, especially the 1/16 stingers! |
sweetwillie | 09-Jan-08 12:09 | I want to try basswood, but I live on a limited income, so I can't afford it like some of you. I didn't plan ahead when I was younger. Isn't it a shame that youth is wasted on the young! |
John M Oshust | 09-Jan-08 15:04 | Bass does not to seem to cost much more than balsa at the shops here in NJ. |
sweetwillie | 09-Jan-08 15:48 | I live in Texas and it costs about the same here as it does in NJ. I have to wait for my monthly check, There's just too much month left at the end of the money.
I live next to Lake Amistad,"The world's premiere bass lake", a quote from the Bassmaster Tournament Assoc. after they held their first tournament here three years ago. It turned this town into a boom town. I'm trying to upload a photo of an 11 1/2 lb. bass that I caught there a couple of years ago. |
