I think I've died and gone to modeling Heaven. A question for RayL: What do I need to apply the Glue? I have Plastruct Plastic Weld with a brush applicator but I know there must be a better way.

DD, where are the wings? :)

David Duckett16-Mar-19 09:41

The Age of technology! For Better or Worse? Bet you make a good job of this strange model David!

There are a few things I need to learn before starting it so for now it's going to stay sealed. Although, Lord knows, I want to see what's in it!!

Does this mean that you are going to start building your plastic reference models?

Oh darn - I guess you’ll have to watch the movie again Dave... Sing ‘Daisy’ along with Hal as ‘Dave’ unplugs him
David Duckett16-Mar-19 16:57
No, Ken, they will stay as references. The scene when Hal sings is wonderful

DD; sorry that this reply took so long as I was Illinois. The best glue that I use is the Tamiya "Extra Thin", applied with a long #00 Brush. Touch the brush to the seam and let the capillary do the rest. Sets up in about 15 seconds. The Plastruct that you have is quite thick in comparison but will work. BTW, the Tamiya glue is available @ Hobby Lobby.

Many thanks!!

dd , I use model master liquid cement for plastic models. It comes out with pinpoint application. I use it on my tanks. if that is how precise you want.
David Duckett18-Mar-19 12:41
Thanks, Brian, that is exactly what I want.
