| sweetwillie | 22-Apr-08 22:47 | | Have you seen those tiles,after it lands. They look like charcoal. I was on the Apollo 8 prime recovery ship the USS Yorktown. The tiles looked like charcoal when it's been burned part way. That was quite a sight. We were a mile from it and saw it enter the atmosphere and splash down. Very impressive. I saw Apollo 6 take off, that was impressive also! |
