Creosotewind | 16-Jan-08 09:26 | The kit falls together. The laser cutting is a great help. |
Creosotewind | 16-Jan-08 09:38 | The canopy frame and wing ribs were removed while I work on the cockpit. I kept breaking pieces. A big difference between plastic and wood is plastic models can be test fitted before they are glued together. Wood kits need to be built to some extent, and then maybe torn apart as the need arises. I've ended up removing some of the ribs and replacing them with brass tube to get a more accurate look.
Oh yeah, in the background is my little helper: Dos Equus. |
poppy | 16-Jan-08 12:10 | That's the funniest looking Ryan ST-A I've ever seen. But this looks great, whatever it is. |
Creosotewind | 16-Jan-08 13:31 | It is a Piper Cub. JGood (sorry, don't remember your first name) is going to add it to the hanger. |
sweetwillie | 28-Feb-08 16:25 | creosote, I'm trying to make a prop for my F4B that has a prop of 9'ft. How do I determine the dimensions of a prop in 1/16 scale. |
