David Duckett | 10-Jul-18 19:11 | I'm a big fan of Dumas kits and this one is typical. I doubt I'm the only one who fantasizes about what it would be like to fly one of the planes I'm building but I can't even ride a Ferris wheel. It looks like a model of a toy airplane but, of course, the real thing was anything but a toy. |

heywooood | 10-Jul-18 21:55 | I watched a lot of early Thompson and Bendix Trophy footage - mostly from '29 - '35 along with some of the Schneider Cup - just to try and get a sense of it. When top speed sprang from just over 100kts to well over 300 !! These pilots were born in the horse and buggy era, milk was delivered literally by horse drawn wagons. |
David Duckett | 11-Jul-18 03:18 | Thanks. I'll make it with filler. |
