David Duckett | 24-Jan-16 07:18 | For reference, the white foam board is 20" x 30". |
Skyediamonds1985 | 24-Jan-16 17:15 | Outstanding work DD. The Skyray held the world record for time-to-as point defense back in the fifties. Ed Heiniman (sp?) designed some amazing aircraft for Douglas. Thank you again for the lengthy explanation of your reasoning behind the use of 1/16th balsa strips on the rear fuselage. I'll remember that for sure. Great to learn new ideas and techniques from you DD. Looking at the Tomcat, one would never know its a Guillow's kit made out of wood. Really admired the strakes on top of the blended fuselage/wing, to say nothing of the curved area where the wing swings. |
David Duckett | 24-Jan-16 17:22 | Thanks. The F-14 is not a Guillows kit, it's from Todays Hobbies. |
Skyediamonds1985 | 25-Jan-16 18:49 | Ouch. A touch of embarrassment here. Thought for sure it was a Guillow's. Still, looking beautiful. |
