David Duckett | 01-Feb-16 08:29 | Scale wheels for balsa models of planes made after WW1 are impossible to find unless you're building a Cub so I look for scale-like wheels. The big wheel is the standard Guillows 1 3/4" and will not be used as a 1 1/2" size is called for and they're on the way from the UK. The nose wheel is 1.25", a lightweight design with a nylon hub from China. You can find more wheels on Ebay by searching for "R/C aircraft wheels". 3 of the 1.25" wheels were just over $8. The balsa "tanks" were carved for the F-80 and may or may not be used here. |
David Duckett | 01-Feb-16 14:08 | Well, the main wheels I ordered are beautiful but would look totally out of place with the nose wheel so I've ordered some to match it. When they arrive, I'll post a photo comparing them. |
Skyediamonds1985 | 01-Feb-16 22:25 | Tried searching Ebay for those instruments you suggested but to no avail. If I go back on Ebay, where/what do I search for? Found lots of real instruments, but not the faces that you posted. Thanks |
