JastaZwei | 15-Mar-15 13:43 | More bending |
Dale1416 | 15-Mar-15 22:28 | Before papering, I give the framework 2 or 3 coats of butyrate dope, with light sanding after first coat. I use Esaki white tissue (Japanese tissue),apply it dry, and adhere it to the framework with a small brush dipped in acetone. |
Dale1416 | 15-Mar-15 22:38 | I wet the applied tissue for shrinking. When dry, tissue is given one coat of dope (does not take much to seal Esaki tissue, therefore any more shrinking is minimized). Adding more butyrate dope increases shrinking and deflection problems. A light rubbing with Scotch Brite and then it's ready for painting.

meku | 16-Mar-15 04:50 | Very correct advice Mr. Dale and Mr. David also, I had a similar experience. Excuse my English is not good. |
David Duckett | 16-Mar-15 05:33 | Your English is fine! |
Anders | 16-Mar-15 09:24 | You can glue a sheet of paper to a picture frame and pre-shrink using water, and then cover the plane. Reduces shrinkage and thus no bending and twisting. |
