JohnG. | 06-Jan-09 08:47 | Looking good. Liking those wheels. May I ask what brand and where you got them???? Thanx, JGJ |
David Duckett | 06-Jan-09 09:14 | Thanks, John. They are the kit wheels. They're on this, the Stuka, and all the kits in the 400 series, and...the Stearman...and the PBY.......and the P-38. They are also sold separately, cheap, and are 1 3/4" diameter. Although not called for I added 1/16" balsa sheet between the halves. |
JohnG. | 06-Jan-09 10:36 | Oh...the kit wheels. I see you have already painted the spokes...that's what threw me. I am searching for similiar SPOKED wheels 1 1/8" dia. Any thoughts on where that off size could be found???? Thanx, JGJ |
jerry campbell | 06-Jan-09 12:58 | Great job David, but you keep raising the bar for us mortals. I've been out of the country for some time and have misplaced JGoods e-mail address to add a new listing, could you send it e-mail it to me? JLC190@verizon.net. I'm working on a diels Shinden. By the way have you seen the new BlueBottle 1/24th kits, I've just ordered two of them, the 190D and the Reggiane. |
David Duckett | 06-Jan-09 19:24 | Thanks, Jerry. I've missed seeing your builds! Not to worry, mortals build only model trains. ;-) |
wingspanner | 06-Jan-09 19:37 | Speaking of Diels, Jerry. Does anyone know what has happened to Dave Diels website |
jgood | 06-Jan-09 22:17 | I found this site. |
