Poppy, what type of paint and application was used for this bird?

Tamaya Aluminum acrylic, airbrushed. I use 2 parts paint, 1 part thinner.

Moose, notice where wing meets engine nacelles. The rivets end at front of plastic. Since balsa was already in place, the plastic was on top of balsa cover so had to blend with Micro-fill. After satisfied, I dug out rivet detail on plastic with a wet toothpick. I did not blend the canopy as smooth because it was part of a removalable panel on full scale.

How do you prevent the Acrylic from pulling up with tape? If I put a couple of applications of Future and let it dry at least 24 hours it doesn't usually pull up. But I get anxious and sometimes forget to wait. So, consequently, I have problems. So what do you do?

Well, try as I might, I get caught up in the build, and forget.

SW, I use 3M blue painters tape, not so sticky. I let paint dry at least 24 hrs. b-4 masking.
