That's better.

1 1/8" dihedral added at rib F10.

Poppy, (or anyone else) What does the dihedral do for flyability? I know that some full size planes have very little, yet scale flying models often need an exaggerated amount to fully function.

For rubber flying models, more dihedral is best. Some electric flyers need more than scale models. A scale dihedral works best if you are flying glow plug engines with plenty of displacement for the model size.

When it comes to R/C, you have two methods you can use for roll-control. Rudder-only control, where you use the rudder to kick a wing down, and then rely on the dihedral to help bring everything back to level once you're finished turning. Try rudder only controls with no dihedral, and it would be very squirly! You can also add ailerons, but from my experience, at the slow speeds that smaller, lighter aircraft fly at, ailerons can be less effective due to the lack of air moving over their relatively small size. I guess rudders have propeller slipstream moving over them, so they are more effective at the slow speeds... The ailerons are not particularly effective on my Guillows Dr.1. It could have benefitted from dihedral, but I didn't want to upset the scale looks...
