Beginning new build. Doubling all stringers.

Off to a great start.

Thanks John. It's a bit more tedious than I originally thought it would be. But the results I see from the more experienced builders, like yourself, seem to be worth the effort. Stringers are now finished and I began filling in with balsa. Even more tedious :)

looks like you have a good start, are you going to plank it or sheet it?
Steve_in_NH30-Apr-09 00:02
I just began filling in the spaces with balsa (planking?) I'm looking to get that smooth finish I see from the Master Builders like John O and Dave Duckett. I don't expect that kind of result as this is my first attempt at this technique and only my third project. Practice, practice, practice.....
David Duckett30-Apr-09 08:40
John O doesn't use this technique. If you check the build threads you'll see he sheets his models. I should also point out that I use 3/32" stringers as they're substantially stronger than the 1/16" ones supplied with the kit. This is a very tedious process but I think it's worth it and this is already looking good.

Looks great, Steve! You've inspired me to get a little more work done on my Juggernaut, too.
