| I cant get glue to stick. I cut these from plastic blister packs that almost everything comes packaged in. I've tried elmers white glue, aliphatic glue, Testors clear parts cement. Nothing sticks to the plastic. Any suggestions my friends? |

| Try Hypo-Point glue. It is watch crystal glue, a sort of very clear and very aggressive rubber cement, that comes in a tube with an extremely fine applicator. It's all I use on canopies. If no local hobby shop carries it try a jeweler's supply. |

| Your LHS should stock what they call Canopy Glue.
Designed for plastic canopies, etc.......dries clear. |

| I asked my LHS about canopy glue. I was told that canopies dipped in future will adhere with CA with no clouding. I have not tried it as yet I am still looking for the Future floor wax. |

| John, it's true about the Future Floor wax. And, if, by some freak accident, if it does cloud. Just re-dip it in future and it'll clear up. Go to scalemodelindex.com and go to the Future tip page. It'll give you some great tips. Or just Google "Future Floor Wax" and it'll give you a load of tips on modeling. |

| Following advice I got from Mark at Guillows...I always coat with Testors Balsa Wood Cement, and let dry. the wood and tissue area where the plastic part will connect. I then apply the Testors Plastic glue and attach the plastic part. Never a failure. |

| Barnstormer, also check if the plastic has a yellow tint or a blue tint. If it is yellow it may well be PET which will prove to be a challenge as it will not react well to solvent based glues, you maybe better off making these again from another source of plastic (preferably PVC or ABS). If it has a blue tint it is most likely PVC which should react well to any solvent or cyano type adhesive. |

| Thanks All for your much valued advice. Thats whats so great about this web site and all the great people that post here, from novice builder to expert if you get stuck and need help theres always someone to come to your aid and get you past your obstacle. I will be putting some of this advice to use this weekend and hopefully I can post some positive results. Again thanks everyone. |
