| i'm using tissue don, the balsa leading and trailing edges are 1/16" while cross braces are 1/8". the stabilizer is one piece which slides through the rear of the fuselage. |

| Since both R & L sides pulled down about the same, it's got to do with the difference in the top and bottom tissue. Looks like the bottom shrank more than the top. Grain direction different? Difference in tightness as you covered? It's been a long time since I used tissue. You need somebody who builds fliers to chime in. |

| thank you don, Heywood, and david. i'll look at scigs posts to see if it helps. don, when I dry covered and then sprayed the plane and elevator, with water, to tightened the tissue, it seemed alright.
I thought I checked the tissue grain the right way, the shortest grain tested right, but I was skeptical cause you think the long way of the tissue would be right. thanks don. |

| I went back through your build pictures and yes, everything looked good - until doping. I can see wrinkles in the first 2 panels on the left. Is the right side the same? It's the bend in the trailing edge right off the fuselage that look to be the same on both sides that made me think tissue grain. |

| i can only think that the balsa is too thin and when the dope dries, it warps. what do you think? |
