Dale1416 | 02-Feb-12 16:29 | P-47 Thunderbolt. Here is another of the (17 ½ “ wingspan) Dumas kits. This kit is #217, one of 27 possible Walnut scale kits available from Dumas. These kits are lacking in details, but I enjoy upgrading the models. Additions to this model are: the four blade propeller, engine cylinder representation, cockpit details (instrument panel, control levers, seat), and the two bombs, which were made from dowel rods and cardstock. |

Dale1416 | 03-Feb-12 10:25 | Thanks guys. Question DD: Since you live close to Tucson, have you toured Dumas Products, Inc., checking out the laser cutting and engineering of their model planes? |
David Duckett | 03-Feb-12 10:59 | No. I have been to their office at the building they occupy and it has all their planes hanging in it, the same ones pictured in their ads. I talked with one of their people a couple of years ago when they were preparing to release the Skyraider kit. I get the impression that the laser cutting is done somewhere else in town. |
