John M Oshust | 10-Feb-13 10:57 | When sealed the poly-span is almost transparent. It has a grain so direction is critical .For wings , I run the grain parallel to the LE. Poly-span has a "fuzzy" side and a "shiny" side. Shiny side is always UP. |
BriandKilby | 10-Feb-13 11:24 | when you mean sealed, do you mean doped? |
John M Oshust | 10-Feb-13 11:40 | You can use dope...I use Minwax wood sealer. |
BriandKilby | 10-Feb-13 11:49 | thanks for clearifying that john. |
frwyflyer | 10-Feb-13 11:50 | Good information. Each side of Poly-span has a different texture. Can you over shrink Poly-span and cause a warp? |
John M Oshust | 10-Feb-13 13:03 | It will melt first. In addition, if you do make and error and need a patch. A patch cut and glued with thin CA disappears when applied. |
