Looks good! That's a lot of work on a small plane. I have never quite got up the "cojones" to even try an open canopy.

Nice work. Keep it up.

And the modelers with their models keep coming and coming. Great job and enjoy your next build.

The open canopy was very hard to get to lined up and still make it look real. I added a stringer to underside of the back half of the canopy on each side, and then made a rail for it to slide on. Trust me it came apart a couple of times before I got right.

Did you make the canopy?

This has been a big learning experience. Its amazing how much this first build taught me. So many tricks I learned at the end that I wish I would have known before hand, and thank to all of you for your kind words and helpfull hints. Im itching to start something new "but what?"
Jedi10-Aug-07 22:09
No ....its the plastic one that came with the model I just modified it.

Come on John :-) I could see you building the canopy from scratch....but this newbie is'nt quit ready for that.

Yep, there are them thats molding their own canopies. SFA site, for one, I believe has a tutorial on it.

Take my advice, before molding, look at the soda bottle world around us!
