Well done. This is one of those kits I always wanted but somehow never got around to it so it's nice to see it built.

Very well done! Will be interesting to see if the model is capable of the outrageous short take off and landing maneuvers that the real airplane was. (Practice at considerable altitude first if you try it!) Who is producing the Berkeley repro short kits?

Sweet job Huey!! As a R/C Noob I haven't devoted much time to painting: Just repairing:-). Is that a "Blue Wonder" under the hood?

The closest thing that I've flown to this is a MX7 Maule, 235 hp. It could get off the ground pretty quick, but not at good as the Helio. Jot the kit from a guy in Washington state. Came in a box with the parts in a bag and the plans folded up. No record of who cut it. Went together real nice. Used Park Lite covering which I really like.

Ray, yep. I get them from Rabid Models for $20. It has a 10x4.5 prop. Going to use a 450mh 3 cell, get me 6min .

Had a friend test fly it today. It flew GREAT! Cut the ailerons down to 20%, and more down on the horz stab. It crused round at 20% throttle with ease. Did every thing I wanted it to do. Neat airplane...

Beautiful model, Huey. Job well done. Never heard Flitz to achieve that polished look. How does it work? Use it on covering as well as on the solid fuselage?

This Park Lite covering come this shinney. Flitz and Poor Mans polish is what I used on a Ryan ST3KR that I took care of. This stuff works great on aluminum, especially if you lazy like me.
