Thanks for the information! I have seen these in craft stores. There is a good selection of colors. they are cheap, and I can use them in the basement without driving the wife out of the house. And they can be brushed on!

| The one thing that I forgot to mention is, I do use a buterate dope to seal the tissue and the balsa (at least 2 coats) and yes that does stink up the house for a while. Elevatoranj, the pin stripe is painted on and not taped on. That was fun trying to keep an even distance between the tape. Taping the fuselage, wings and tail wasn't too difficult but the wheel pants on the other hand was a different story! |

| FWTW....a 50/50 mixture of Elmers white glue and water will do a very nice job of sealing the tissue. I utilize it all the time.........LUCK, JGJ |

| So the drill is... cover useing stick glue or white glue. spray with water and dry(to tighten up the tissue) brush on white glue/water 50/50 to seal the tissue and then use the "inexpensive acrylic paints" and put a coat of gloss varnish on top of it all. | Your are welcome. I always put 2 coats of the 50/50 all over on all the bare balsa...then after the tissuing I put 2 coats of the 50/50 on the tissue...this will cause it to sag between coats...but, no fear upon drying (I often use a hair dryer on low to hasten the drying)the tissue will return to taut. The whole process is simply to seal everything. |

| I have used these on all my aircraft in my hangar. Inexpensive and non-toxic; one note of caution, apply thin coats. This can look scary on a good tissue job before it dries, but hang in there, it works. The gloss I used on my Cherokee gave me a scare but it shrunk back to normal. |
