BillParker | 07-Jan-15 16:38 | Okay, so I built it so that I could drop the wing in the hole, rather than try to slide it into the fuse. I've always found the the slide in style of construction on the balsa planes needed a bit of trimming around both sides and inside the fuse to allow the wing to slide thru. Little hard to do in pine plywood, so I redrew the plan and made it work more like say a Guillow's P-40... Drop the wing in and build up the belly... Don, if I were doing it all over again, I'd build the wings in 3 parts like you've done, installed the center wing section, (covered) and then installed the belly, and cover. Then add the outer wing panels last... Wouldda made this beast alot easier to handle... |
BillParker | 07-Jan-15 16:47 | Your fuse... Is built up so to do what I do... You'll have to surgically remove your belly. Drop the wing in, and replace the belly. Then fill and sand. |
