When I was getting ready to come home, my black nurse was showing me how to use the "strap on" catheter and how to empty it and the "overnighter" version I was wearing. The overnighter holds more and was nearly full so I said, "I bet I could write my entire name with that." and the nurse looked at me with total incomprehension. I told her that men write their names when they pee. She obviously still thought I was crazy so I told her to ask her husband. I would love to have heard that exchange.:-) |
