kenm94591 | 29-Apr-20 17:41 | Really looking good. I was watching your video when you took the masking off the pants and have a suggestion which may or may not work. I learned from DD that when painting with a brush you use the dry brush method on the initial application of paint with the mask. This small amount of paint seals the tape and surface. Something about the moisture causes the tape to bond to the surface. Since this probably would not work with the spray paint I would suggest you first spray a coat of white to bond the tape. After that the red would hopefully not bleed through. Little bit late but you might try on the next build. |

The problem here is limited availability. I’m running out of paint and it’s getting harder to get. I thank you for the suggestion and will definitely use the clear coat once I’m restocked. I have a follow on video that includes an unexpected coincidence |
heywooood | 01-May-20 00:27 | regarding the firewall details, Robert, I wanted just the appearance of plumbing and mechanical and fluid connections there without getting too involved. I didn't want anything to interfere with the motor seating flush against the magnet and surrounding surface. When the motor is attached it looks pretty convincing..so that worked out. And Thank you! It is a fun build. |
