That's why they call it "fishing", not "Catching"! :) I'm on a fly fishing trip on the Olympic Peninsula right now. Fishing Fri/Sat with a buddy and a guide I've used for years. Hope to get onto some Coho, but I've come away without fish many times. I just remember, "Fishing" not "Catching." |

Don't forget the old saying. "A Bad Day Fishing Is Better Than A Good Day At Work". |

sounds like fun! they were jumping all around, but weren't biting anything i threw at them. should have brought my fly rod and fished with dries. |

We're expecting snow overnight, so I'd rather be out there fishing. |

I have in the past when I lived in Minnesota, but I really don't like ice. Around here nothing in my mind is safe. When I was on the Volunteer FD I became certified for ice rescue. Someone asked me one day what the Ice Rescue patch on my jacket was for. My answer was: It's for when some dumb ---- goes out on poor ice and falls through. Then I have to risk my butt to save his stupid one. So really - no ice fishing, but on a -20 night the ice makes some wonderful sounds as it thickens.
