(The 'edit' feature doesn't seem to be working for me.) It eventually paid for my college, but I've been in either the Army or the Coast Guard since 1991 and it took me 15 years to get my degree! I was fortunate enough to benefit from several increases in VA education benefits that allowed me to get my BS degree without needing to take a job during the school year.
