| I have been seeking the right water bottle to start the canopy. Found one on the street this AM. I laminated the plastic between two Al weling rods that I had rolled flat. |

| If that canopy has no square panels and is only a curve, I bet you could push a one piece out, no problem. The Trojan had that square cornered front that kept causing a fold during heating and pressing. I was so close. |

| John, this MIG is looking great... kudos to you for your very ingenious use of unlikely materials. You can also try Evergreen styrene strips for the canopy framing. Oh and take it from moostang, regular CA will definitely fog up the clear plastic. "ZAP" makes a plastic compatible CA that might work. Otherwise, use canopy glue. Again, great job on everything especially the extensive bodywork!!! |

| Plastic forming not a skill I wish to master...at least now. I wanted the AL strips and a canopy that opens...I hope. plasticbuddha the bondo spot putty is the best. I will go over the plane again ands make every seam disappear the re-prime. |

| What I have read is that if you coat the clear plastic with Future floor polish, the super glue will not fog the plastic. I haven't yet tried that, but it is something to explore. The MIG is looking great. |

| My first canopy, my first working with clear platic. Duh!!! Today working with the center section, I first masked the plastic with tape. Keeeps my old fingers and glue away! |

| John, something to bear in mind with the spot putty, it is relatively "soft". I've had good results with giving it a thin coat of CA before final sanding to harden it. Otherwise, it chips very easily. I believe that Croesotewind if correct; a lot of static plastic aricraft modellers use the "Future" technique in conjuction with CA. |

| I will keep that in mind, though I think once the Mig is complete and hanging it will not be subjected to any abuse....unless my son's kids will play with it someday! |
