David Duckett | 07-Aug-07 20:50 | If y'all need any help with covering, this is the man! |
jgood | 07-Aug-07 20:54 | I raise my hand for help! |
jernst | 07-Aug-07 21:14 | Thanks guys. I'm really quite humbled to hear such comments from the excellent craftspersons here at the VA. I've been away for awhile on vacation, and work. Hard to get back into the swing of things.
I'm not going to try and catch up with all the postings and photos I've missed, but needless to say, there are some very impressive and beautiful projects going on here - as usual. Good to be back. Thanks again. |
poppy | 07-Aug-07 22:33 | Your coverings are always perfect. No paint necessary, just use the proper colored tissue. Just great work!! |
moostang51 | 08-Aug-07 16:45 | How sweet is this? Multiple colors of tissue is something I've never considered until viewing your projects. Well done. |
jernst | 08-Aug-07 20:28 | Thanks Guys. I try hard to find color schemes that can be done easily, i.e. without paint. I don't have an airbrush. Trying to keep the plane as ligt as possible can mean that applied paints might not be the best way to go...for me. I know many, many very successful FF modelers who paint their models and it doesn't seem to hurt their flight performance. |
John M Oshust | 08-Aug-07 22:28 | jernst...Please edumicate me, what is an FF modler? |
jernst | 08-Aug-07 22:57 | Sorry....FF = 'Free Flight', i.e. rubber, electric, gas, CO2 powered flight. |
