Definitely did not get those pipes at Midas. Nice touch. |

Sweet! Can almost hear the roar of those big engines. |
David Duckett | 31-Oct-07 18:56 |
Those big engines are 5/8" diameter ;-). |

The camo is so well done I can hardly see the plane. The hits keep coming. |

Remember the Vulcan bomber in James Bonds "ThunderBall"?
|
David Duckett | 31-Oct-07 20:07 |
Please notice the plane's number. |
SteveM | 31-Oct-07 21:08 |
I just reviewed the Thunderball footage, your paint scheme is nearly identical. Looks great! |

Bingo, that is where I've seen this bird before! |

Neat to see how many caught that. |

Super incredible, David. :) I love the Vulcan, and this model really does it justice. I also like the earlier all-white colour scheme. Howsabout a Victor next? :) |

Thanks, James. Do you know of a kit? Personally I feel that if one who builds model planes doesn't like the Vulcan's shape, they should switch to trains. |

One RAF official was quoted as saying the Vulcan was the greatest device ever made to turn fossil fuel in to noise. |
RodN | 01-Nov-07 17:58 |
Very nice indeed! |

In reference to noise: I never saw a Vulcan but Ian said he saw one and the noise reverberated throughout the valley. I think a B-1 is the closest thing to a Vulcan. I have seen and heard one more than once. Words, at least ones permitted here, do not adequately describe the experience. |

As a site for modelers, couldn't we use more colorful language? Sorry, but I just watched 'The War' on PBS last night and was miffed that the explanation of 'FUBAR' was censored. |

Did you ever hear an SST at take-off or landing only at tree-top level? Pity those who purchased homes in Howard Beach, Queeens New York bordering Kennedy Airport. The db meter was off the charts. |

I love aeroplane noise! Concorde was awesome as she used to leave LHR. I live under the flight path for MIA (when the wind is in the right direction), and that also appeals to me. Wish we had Vulcan's or Concorde's taking off from here... |
