Tomorrow I hope to fabricate the wing mounted radar dome. But I must give thought to turning these two 18 in 2 bladed props into one scale 4 bladed prop. Methinks this prop will be "much more better!" |

That's a really cool plane! I've always loved the Corsair. |

Yes, it already looks better just seeing 4 blades up there! Of course it looks great even without a prop. |

The Corsair was always one of my childhood favorites. This build (thanks to poppy) made me aware that the F5 night fighter was used in Korea, hence the morphing. Making the large prop will take some time and with the cost of the 2 props, very little margin for error. She does already look better with the larger 4 bladed prop. |

NOW you're talking about an F4U-5 Nightfighter. Need that 4 blade prop. A little half lap joinery and some stick-on templates for scale sizing, add a dremel to trim it down.... voila, 4 blade prop perfection. |

Oh yes john 4 blade much better. |

Awesome!! The four blade prop will just be the icing on the cake. |

Moos...These props are huge I think they will require a drum sander oon a drill prees and a belt sander. I plan to cut the blades off the hubs and eventually pin them to a new hub. This is down the road currently I am thinking radar pod! |

She is looking great!! Don't forget the nose cheek intakes for the F4U-5N variant. |

poppy.... SShe may not finally be a 5 but a 4.85. I have been studing the cowl a bit today. With its final paint and checkering I do not want to open a can of worms. |
