sweetwillie | 02-May-08 12:34 | That Dremel came in handy, I had tried to do them by hand before, and I couldn't get any two to match. With the Dremel, they came a lot closer to matching. |
hjlittman | 02-May-08 15:47 | This is where you can find out what a Dremel tool is really capable of. Taking the time to make pattern following jigs for the Dremel will allow you to crank out multiples of the same component exactly alike. For example, you can use the spiral router bit and a pattern to cut out a stack of identical wing ribs from balsa the same way you would use a full sized router with a pattern to cut ribs for a real airplane from plywood. I have saved many small pieces of hardwood and high-grade plywood from past cabinet making projects (Much to my wife's bewilderment.) and now I can use these to make all kinds of fixtures for the Dremel and my other power tools when I want to produce multiples of the same part. You make the same kind of fixtures that you would for full size shop tools, only Dremel sized and they work fine. |

poppy | 02-May-08 20:35 | You are doing fine! Keep it up. |
