David Duckett | 15-Jan-10 06:43 | Power & guidance requirements per instructions: (2ea. MPI EPU-3 (IPS-S2) Gear Drive (3.5:1 gear ratio), 25 amp ESC w/BEC, GWS 7-6 prop (2),4- Sub-micro Servos, Full Range Micro Rx or the Spektrum 2.4 Ghz Park Flyer Radio, Thunderpower 1320 mah 2 cell (7.4 volt) Lipoly Battery (or equivalent) |
FLYBOYZ | 15-Jan-10 08:32 | Check out Eflight 250 OR 300 out runners lot very smooth motors no gears to wear out.The motor turns on the shaft it self making it very balance. They are 7.4 volt. lipo the only thig is tow of them pulling on the same pack may drain a pack too quickly.I really not sure never had a twin engine electric. But this is really going to be a beauty indeed.Maybe some one can give you better advice on twin motors Iam just getting use to single engine power scourses. |
SteveM | 15-Jan-10 22:33 | Pat didn't think outrunners would fit inside the nacelles. I do have a dead Park 300 that I can use to check for clearance when my kit arrives. For now I'm planning to use brushless inrunners on a pair of Phoenix-10 ESCs and 7x5 APC props, one turning clockwise and the other anticlockwise. Thanks for the picture DD. |
reuben199 | 16-Jan-10 00:40 | David, this Himax motor is a direct brushless replacement for the GWS IPS motors (HC2208 -This 30 watt motor is for very small models weight 6-8 oz . Replaces MPI EPU and GWS IPS gear motors) it uses the same stick mount as the GWS but doesn't need the gearbox and will proberly be cheaper than the park 250's. |
