Outstanding detailed work John. Great array of photos. May the Gods look down in favor upon you and your Ukie/Pol surgeon.

I tried to take photos outside but the knees did not cooperate. These photos were the best I could muster to wrap this project up.

VERY NICE!! I do like that radial and spoke wheels!!
John M Oshust01-May-12 18:55
Thanks guys I tried to add some new jimmies and jammies to this build. The thing is as the model gets more complex it takes longer to complete. That is the joy of a short kit, you can make it as simple or complex as one desires.

nice fokker john, hope your surgery goes well, your planes will be waiting for you when you get back. hurrah!

Dale141602-May-12 16:37
Thanks for all your great posts on your Fokker. Looking forward to the Jenny build.
John M Oshust02-May-12 16:54
Thanks Dale. Today I purchased the Jenny assembly manual. This should provide a plethora of fabrication information.

John, this is Sky of the PT-17. I've watched all of your builds with interest & curious about just two things:1) where can you buy polyspan? For some reason my hobby store doesn't stock it, nor does he know where/anything about it & 2) noticed you have very impressive access to documentation. By any chance do you share or know where I can obtain such drawings/detailed photos? -Sky
John M Oshust08-Aug-15 14:26
Sky. Poly span. Goggle it. I purchased enough for a lifetime but forgot where. My mind has major case of CRS!!! Reference materials. I purchase books about the aeroplane thru Amazon. BTW three years since this build. Finished prior to the titanium knees. After three years the knees are starting to fail. I will not go they that procedure again. Get me a wheelchair!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, John. I got one of those knees in 2013 and understand the problem. Been holding off on the left one, but come Pearl Harbor Day it's happening. Very nice plane, but an unkempt name for it's pilot.

Don C. I had bilateral knee replacement three years past. The procedure was performed after I finished Helmet Head's trplane. After three years of using the titanium knees they seem to be wearing out. Walking is ok but getting up from low seats, bending and squatting are a painful chore. I do not intend on ever having the replacements replaced

Looks like I read posting dates wrong. Not sure if it's the eyes or the brain that's aging too fast. I'm impressed that you could squat. I've left that one alone. Put out the trail cam today though.
John M Oshust13-Aug-15 12:31
Black bear here cloned a ladder to a tree stand, pulled a corn feeder onto the stand, ate the corn and disassembled the feeder! I have the event on a trail camera but forgot my laptop to view the chip.
