Some basic tools for covering. Elmers and water to attatch tissue. Surgical blades. Picture frame to pre shrink the tissue. Aerogloss Dope for sealing the tissue. |

Hello scigs30. Beautiful work. I've read a little about the "Pre-shrinking" of tissue. What are the benefits if I may inquire? And is the tissue double-stick taped to the frame? Great idea. Phil. |

I only use pre shrinking when covering with Esaki tissue. The only benifit to pre shrinking is that it prevents warps. |

Greetings... scigs! I was admiring your covering skills and have a question... seems I always have questions. Do you wet the tissue again after you have applied it to the frame? Even though you have preshrunk it. Thanks. :) |

For the most part, yes. Now if I have a fragile structure, I might not shrink it again and just brush on dope. |
